Ah, the bliss of the McDonald’s Drive Thru. Pulling up in your warm car, reeling off your order to the little speaker and arriving at the window and them just knowing what you wanted.

But how do they always seem to know exactly what your order was?

One insider revealed all the ‘secrets’ in a TikTok.

Maccies worker Katie revealed a photo is taken of you as a way to keep track of who ordered what.

In the video, which was viewed millions of times (she’s since gone private), Katie talks her followers through the whole set-up and how it works.

Aged 17 at the time, she says: "Ever wondered how McDonald's know whose car is whose?

"There is a camera and it takes a picture of you and your car."

The teen explains that a camera takes a snap of the car when the customer chooses what they want, and links it to their order.

This means employees just have to match the order to the car and they can hand over the correct food.

And with that in mind, Katie joked: "So maybe don't pick your nose when you order... because we see it and we judge you."

While some people said they guessed as much, others were shocked by the revelation.

One user commented: "Wow really? I had no idea there were cameras."

Another also added: "Ayo that's some new new. We didn't have that when I worked there last year."

But it's not just what they can see that might surprise you, but also what they hear.

Commenting on the post, another user claiming to be an employee revealed: "I'm waiting for the day they realise we hear them the moment they pull up, to the moment they leave the speaker box."

Erm, excuse you?

If you are heading to the golden arches this weekend, maybe it’s to dine on the new autumn menu or the new chicken nugget offering they’ve finally added to the menu

McDonald’s are now offering the ‘magic number’ of McNuggets as part of a meal – rather than a measly six.

So, instead of having to go the whole hog with the Sharebox of 20 or buy two Happy Meals just to get more chicken nugs, you can finally get nine McNuggets as a meal.

People have long complained: “A six piece nugget meal isn’t enough.”

And wishes have been granted with the latest menu update as you can grab nine McNuggets, a medium fries and a medium drink for £6.69.

Excellent news, even if our picture has to be taken for it.
