McDonald's makes big change to its chicken nuggets which fans have demanded for years

McDonald's lovers will be thrilled to find out that the fast food giant will now offer the perfect number of nuggets on the menu.

McDonald's have finally taken heed of customers pleas and are upgrading their chicken nugget offering.

Foodies will be overjoyed to hear that they can now get the 'magic number' of McNuggets as part of a meal, instead of a measly six.

Customers have long complained that half a dozen of the tasty battered treats just aren't filling enough.

Despite being bolstered with a side of fries, people say their stomachs just aren't satisfied.

But most people don't fancy going the whole hog and getting the huge Sharebox that has 20 in either.

One person complained: "A six piece nugget meal isn't enough."

Another said: "I'm proposing an eight piece chicken nugget meal."

A third added: "McDonald's should have a seven piece order of nuggets!"

Brits have been begging for the fast food giant to find a happy medium - and their prayers have finally been answered.

McDonald's is shaking up its menu for autumn and the updated number of McNuggets have arguably stolen the show.

Ordering a six piece Chicken McNugget meal will soon be a thing of the past for most Maccies fans.

That's because there will now be a nine piece Chicken McNugget meal on offer.

Although customers could already order nine nuggets off the menu, they didn't come as part of a McMeal.

This came at a cost of £4.59 - but now you can grab nine McNuggets, a medium fries and a medium drink for £6.69.

Upgrading to a large meal will set you back £7.39.

I can imagine diehard chicken nugget fans will be jumping out of their chairs with glee - as I certainly did.

But if the much-loved snack isn't your cup of tea, there is still plenty to sink your teeth into on the autumn menu.

It is being rolled out in stores from today (17 October) as the McDonald's Monopoly promotion comes to an end.

Six items have been scrapped to make room for several new dishes that promise to tantalise your tastebuds.

McDonald's are saying goodbye to the Big Tasty, the Big Tasty with Bacon and Mozzarella Dippers.

Cadbury Flake Raspberry McFlurry, Cadbury Flake Chocolate McFlurry and the Caramel Waffle Latte are also getting the boot.

But a string of new winter warmers are being introduced instead.

This includes the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse, Philly Cheese Stack, Halloween McFlurry's and a festive apple pie.

Truly mouth watering stuff.

And if that wasn't enough, the mega chicken combo deal is also making its highly anticipated return.

Fast food fanatics will remember its debut on McDelivery last year during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

It consists of 10 Chicken Selects and a 20 Chicken McNuggets Sharebox – plus 4 Selects dips and 4 standard dips, designed to serve four people for £16.99.
