Russell Brand has spoken out after two additional charges of rape and sexual assault against him were confirmed.
Yesterday it was revealed the 50-year-old comedian had been charged with historic rape and sexual assault against two further women, following an ongoing investigation into him.
Brand will appear in court on January 20 in relation to the alleged incidents, which are understood to have taken place in 2009.

The new charges are separate from a previous case which was brought against Brand in May 2025, which saw him plead not guilty to five counts of sexual assault alleged to have taken place between 1999 and 2005.
Brand has since broken his silence over the latest allegations on social media, saying he was looking forward to sharing his 'truth'.

Speaking to his followers in a video filmed inside his car, Brand said: "You’re all aware of that, a time of confusion and dispute and conflict, but I’ve learned in my own life that attack can bring about grace.
"I’m so grateful for the opportunity in my own life that I get to participate in change and transformation and growth and love, and I feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to atone for the many things over the years that I did wrong, and the opportunity to ensure that people understand the truth of my situation and scenario."
He went on to reference his newfound Christian faith when addressing the people he'd 'harmed'.
"I pray Lord, that anyone that I’ve harmed or hurt in my years of mindlessness in sin would be healed. Lord, I pray for infinite light and wonderful healing for them, and I pray, Lord, for the absolute truth of who I am to be abundantly revealed," the Get Him to the Greek actor continued.
He concluded the video by referencing the Bible verse James 1:2-3, saying 'We consider it great joy when we face trials of any kind' before wishing his followers a Merry Christmas.

Confirming the charges in statement yesterday, Metropolitan Police Detective Chief Inspector Tariq Farooqi said: "The women who have made reports, including those connected to the two new charges, continue to receive support from specially trained officers.
"The Met’s investigation remains ongoing, and detectives urge anyone affected by this case, or anyone with information, to come forward and speak with police. A dedicated team of investigators can be reached via email at [email protected].
