Russell Brand has been charged with rape and sexual assault relating to two further women as part of the investigation into him.
This follows charges brought against him regarding four women earlier this year, to which Brand had pleaded not guilty.
Leading the investigation is Detective Chief Inspector Tariq Farooqi from the Metropolitan Police, which announced that the Crown Prosecution Service had authorised further charges against a man after their investigation.

He said: “The women who have made reports, including those connected to the two new charges, continue to receive support from specially trained officers.
“The Met’s investigation remains ongoing, and detectives urge anyone affected by this case, or anyone with information, to come forward and speak with police. A dedicated team of investigators can be reached via email at [email protected].

“Support is also available through the independent charity Rape Crisis by contacting the 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line.”
Brand has been charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault in relation to two women.
His previous charges issued in April were two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault involving four women.
Brand will appear before Westminster Magistrate's Court on 20 January, 2026 regarding the two additional charges laid against him, while a trial for the five previous charges is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on 16 June 2026.
In a message he made where he denied the previous five charges against him, Brand had said: "I've always told you guys that when I was young and single, before I had my wife and family were just about a shot over there, my beautiful children, I was a fool man.

"I was a fool before I lived in the light of the Lord. I was a drug addict, a sex addict and an imbecile, but what I never was was a rapist. I've never engaged in non-consensual activity.
"I pray that you can see that by looking in my eyes. I want to thank all of you for your continuing support."
