​The JD Wetherspoon Valentine’s Day £20 Meal Deal For Two Is Back

Valentine's Day is fast approaching, meaning you have just a few weeks to hatch a plan for the most romantic evening of the year - nay, your life.

You might be toying with the idea of whisking them off to Paris for the weekend, showering them with lavish gifts and booking into the finest Michelin-starred restaurant the City of Love has to offer.

But let's face it, that's such a cliché. You can do better than that, can't you?

How about keeping things local - good for both budgets and that carbon footprint - by treating that special someone to a special meal down at your nearest JD Wetherspoon pub.

That's right, because nothing says romance like 'You can even have the mixed grill, babe'.

JD Wetherspoon confirmed to LADbible that its now-famous 'Two Dine For £20' deal is back again this year, promising two courses and two drinks for just 20 quid.

If you're feeling particularly fancy, you can even upgrade to a bottle of Prosecco of rose brut for an extra £5.

For the special night of wining and dining, you can each pick out a main course from a choice of 8oz sirloin steak, mixed grill, BBQ chicken melt, triple chicken feast, chicken and rib combo, BBQ pork ribs, Mediterranean vegetable lasagne and gourmet vegan burger.

And because this is a posh affair, you even get dessert: pick from the likes of warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream, warm chocolate brownie with ice cream, warm cookie dough sandwich with ice cream, fresh fruit with ice cream or British Bramley apple crumble - with, you've guessed it, ice cream.

As with all JD Wetherspoon branches, products and pricing may vary depending on where you are, but the pub chain told us that the £20 offer will be live in more than 600 pubs across the UK, so chances are you'll be alright.

Plus, you can rest assured that however much it sets you back, it'll be a damn sight cheaper than a mini break to France.

Now I guess you just need to work out which lucky lad or lady deserves the night of their lives on 14 February - which, incidentally, is the same day that the Wetherspoon Gin Festival all kicks off, running until Sunday 1 March.

Bottle of prosecco, two mixed grills and puddings AND a fancy G&T? You're gonna end the evening wishing you could date yourself.
