A woman claims that she was ‘robbed’ at gunpoint by a man before he then ordered her to add him on Facebook and asked her out on a date.

According to Amber Beraun, Damien Boyce even offered to pay her back for the robbery because she was ‘pretty’ and asked her on Facebook if she’d like to ‘chill out’ with him.

If you’re trying to get a date, perhaps there are better ways to meet people than holding them up at gunpoint and taking their money.

It’s just a thought, but maybe that’s not the best strategy.

Amber was just checking the mailbox outside her home in Indianapolis on May 8 when a man approached her and pulled out a gun.

She said that the man forced her to hand over all of her cash, but then demanded that she befriend him on Facebook, messaging her telling her she’s ‘too pretty to rob’ and asking her to ‘come chill’ with him.

Speaking to WRTV, Amber recalled: "He took [the gun] out of his pocket to show me what was going on — [he said] let me into your house. I did not do that.”

After refusing entry to the house, Amber gave over around $100 in cash to the man, but that wasn’t enough for the alleged criminal, who insisted – all whilst holding a gun – that she become a Facebook connection with him.

Obviously, she agreed.

Well, you’re not going to say no, are you?

"I thought if maybe I added him on Facebook, he would leave, and he did,” she explained.

However, flirtatious messages started coming through, claiming that he’d pay her back because she’s ‘pretty’.

One such message read: "Look you know I'mma pay you back. It's a f***** up way to meet someone, but d*** you wass to pretty to rob."

Amber responded: "I believe you man.

“I can tell you're sweet, times just got rough.

“I know that."

The next message came through: "Come chill with me. I swear I’m not on that type of timing.”

This time, she responded: "I do have a man. You know I can’t do that LOL.

“I wish you the best tho".

Now, she says that she feels unsafe in her home after the incident.

"He really tried to rob me of my own things, but he took away my sense of safety from my own home," she continued.

"It makes me a little on edge knowing that people walk up and down the street, looking for places to commit crimes.

“It makes it a little different when you hear noises at night."

The alleged robber messaged her online after the incident.

Boyce has been charged with gunpoint robbery and is currently out on a bail bond of $7,500.

He was also arrested in connection with another robbery on June 12, and has further been charged with burglary, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal recklessness, as well as battery.

He is alleged to have shot two people and hit another with a brick, before police claim he barricaded himself inside a building before eventually surrendering to the SWAT team.
