Heartwarming reason why Bad Bunny gave Grammy to young boy during Super Bowl halftime show

The moment quickly went viral

Hundreds of millions of people across the world tuned in to watch last night's Super Bowl, with Bad Bunny dominating the headlines after a sparkling half-time show.

The Puerto Rican rapper was deemed a somewhat controversial choice for this year's performance, given that all of his music is performed in Spanish, with Turning Point USA even launching their own 'All-American' alternative in protest.

Despite Puerto Ricans being US citizens, there was unsurprisingly a huge amount of unfounded claims on the internet last night in the wake of Bad Bunny's performance last night (8 February), which promoted love and diversity throughout and also featured the likes of Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin and Pedro Pascal.

Many were left a little puzzled, however, when the 31-year-old handed over one of his Grammy awards - having won three earlier this month - to a young boy, who many quickly guessed to be the five-year-old who was detained by ICE earlier this year.

They have both since been released back to their home in Minneapolis, with family attorney Danielle Molliver telling CNN that a judge has granted a continuance, which postpones their asylum case to a later date.

While the boy was looking very shy about appearing on screen in front of so many people both on TV and in the stadium last night, he has since been correctly identified as child actor Lincoln Fox, and not Ramos.

Fox thanked Bad Bunny for letting him be a part of his memorable half-time show, writing on his Instagram page, which you'd hope is run by his parents: "I’ll remember this day forever! @badbunnypr - it was my truest honor."

The youngster, who is half Egyptian and half Argentinian, was another factor in Bad Bunny's show which promoted cultural diversity throughout, with the singer regularly pictured with the Puerto Rican flag while he also shouted out pretty much every country in the Americas.

A source has since confirmed to ABC News that the rapper wanted to symbolise that anyone can pursue their hopes and dreams when he handed over the Grammy to young Lincoln at the Levi Stadium yesterday.

Bad Bunny has already made history himself, after his album 'DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS' became the first Spanish-language album to claim the top prize at the Grammys.

Sadly, not everyone was a big fan of the half-time performance, with the likes of Donald Trump and Jake Paul both slamming it on social media.

However, Jake's older brother Logan called him out after he suggested Bad Bunny was a 'fake American', despite living in Puerto Rico himself.

Meanwhile, President Trump wrote: "The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence.

"Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.

"This 'Show' is just a 'slap in the face' to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!

"There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD."

Over 500 million people who speak Spanish will certainly disagree with that bold claim, and even those who might not understand Bad Bunny's lyrics will know that he has plenty of bangers.
