Leaked CIA files claim they've found the Ark of the Covenant containing the Ten Commandments

The CIA enlisted the help of clairvoyant remote viewers to track down the religious chest

The Ark of the Covenant, containing the stone tablets of the Ten Commandment, was located nearly 30 years ago, according to CIA documents.

According to the Bible, the sacred, gold-plated acacia wood chest was built by the Israelites at Mount Sinai, shortly after they fled Egypt around the 13th century BC, before Moses placed the Ten Commandments inside.

For many years, the location of the poignant religious item was a mystery, however documents from the US intelligence agency suggest this could no longer be the case.

Back in the 1980s, the CIA commissioned a number of tests with people who claimed to have the ability to perceive information about objects, people or events, known as a form of clairvoyance or remote viewing.

Several US intelligence agencies, including the CIA, hired people 'alleged to have paranormal capabilities' during the 1970s and 1980s in an attempt to gain information about 'distant events.'

During one experiment, a person known only as Remote Viewer No. 032 was given coordinates to locate a target and they described the Ark of the Covenant hiding in the Middle East.

According to the document, the individual said: "The target is a container. This container has another container inside of it. The target is fashioned of wood, gold and silver.... and it is decorated with [a six-winged angel]," despite not being told they were searching for the Ark of the Covenant.

The remote viewer went on to say the mystery item was located somewhere in the Middle East,' and described seeing people speaking Arabic in the nearby area.

Many historians believe the chest was kept inside the ancient temple of Jerusalem for hundreds of years, with only the High Priest of the Israelites allowed to see it on Yom Kippur, the Jews' holiest holiday.

Since then, it has never been seen. At least, until the mysterious Project Sun Streak, which appears to have located the Ark many years ago.

The previously secret project has recently gained prominence after appearing on an episode of the Ninjas are Butterflies podcast, where host Josh Hooper confessed he believed the mission to be fake until he found the documents for himself on the CIA.gov website.

The document, which was dated 5 December, 1988, contained 'bone chilling' information projected by the remote viewer, who used their body and consciousness to find the target.

They wrote: "This target is located somewhere in the Middle East as the language spoken by individuals present seemed to be Arabic," adding that it was 'hidden underground' where it was dark and wet.

"The purpose of the target is to bring a people together. It has something to do with ceremony, memory, homage, the resurrection," they continued.

"There is an aspect of spirituality, information, lessons and historical knowledge far beyond what we now know.

"The target is protected by entities and can only be opened (now) by those who are authorized to do so — this container will not/cannot be opened until the time is deemed correct."
