Dana White has raised eyebrows over his reaction to an armed shooter attempting to gain access to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
During the annual event, journalists and media figures linked to the White House and its sitting president attend a fundraising dinner together.
However, this year's event was disrupted when a man armed with guns and knives attempted to enter the ballroom at the Washington Hilton, where the dinner was being held.
The suspected shooter was arrested by Secret Service agents before he was able to enter the ballroom.

However, the fact that a man armed with multiple weapons was able to get that close to a dinner where figures such as President Donald Trump, his wife, Melania Trump, JD Vance and others were in attendance will have likely shaken the US administration to its core.

Several eye-witness accounts from the evening have since appeared online, with images showing politicians and journalists cowering under tables while a sobbing Erika Kirk was also seen being escorted from the event.
However, not everyone appeared to have been left shaken by the incident, with the UFC owner giving an unfazed recollection of events from inside the room.
"It started to get noisy. Tables started getting flipped over, guys running with guns, they were screaming, 'Get down!' I didn't get down," White said of his experience in an interview with USA Today.
"It was f***ing awesome, and I literally took every minute of it in."
White went on to reveal that he was seated right in front of President Trump's table, meaning he had a perfect view as Secret Service agents swept through the room.
"It was a pretty crazy, unique experience," he continued.
"We were sitting right in front of the table, right in front of where the president was. Nobody got tackled, but guys came in looking for shooters.
"I thought the shooter was over by us or something."
Which is certainly a unique reaction to an attempted mass shooter event.

Fortunately, none of the attendees were injured during the incident, with the President, First Lady and other senior ranking US officials being escorted to safety while members of the Secret Service made sure Allen did not have any accomplices.
What do we know about the alleged White House Correspondents' shooter?
According to CBS News, the suspect is Cole Allen, a 31-year-old teacher from California.
He had been a guest at the Washington Hilton on the day of the dinner, after checking in at the hotel on Friday (24 April).
Although no official motive has been given, it has been suggested that Allen was attempting to target officials linked to the Trump administration.
He has since been arrested and currently faces charges of two counts for using a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on federal officers using a dangerous weapon.
Authorities have not ruled out bringing further charges if necessary.
