A 97-year-old man allegedly died while singing 'Stayin’ Alive' at his own birthday party, according to a woman claiming to be his neighbour.
Eden Malinoff, who runs the baked (@bakedsocal) TikTok page, said in a video to her 92,000 followers that Vito died at his Halloween-themed birthday party last week.
In the viral video posted two days ago, Vito was seen clapping and smiling while dressed in a black button-down shirt and pants.
“This past week was Vito’s 97th birthday and in true Vito fashion, he wanted to celebrate by throwing a Halloween birthday rager,” the 24-year-old, who runs the cake and cookie business, said.

“So of course I made him a cake. When I asked him the secret to living such a long life, he told me it was to never drink cheap liquor,” adding that she made a red wine chocolate cake.

“If I learned one thing from Vito, it’s to never let your age stop you.
“This man lived his life to the fullest, all the way up until his last moments, quite literally. At 24 years old, I could not keep up with this man, he was the life of the party.”
She said that ‘the night did not end as anticipated and Vito made a dramatic exit’.

“But if there’s any way he could have chosen to go out it would have been like this,” Malinoff continued.
“He was surrounded by people he loved, we were celebrating his long and full life, and I’m just so grateful I got to be a part of it.”
One viewer shared a screenshot of an Instagram comment from an individual claiming to be Vito’s best friend.
“Best friend of Vito here. He did pass away that night surrounded by his best friends just after we sang him happy birthday,” account @caleba.turner penned.
“He got a good dance in right before. It was an amazing birthday party. He had some medical issues that we didn't know the severity of, and he passed away peacefully with his favourite music going. Rest in Peace you legend.
“Thanks again for the amazing cake Eden.”
Others in the comments ‘refused to believe this is real’, with another viewer writing: “I’m sorry but there is absolutely no way this happened.”
“I feel like we’re all getting baited for engagement,” a third penned, while a fourth added: “Ur far too calm for this to be real, but if it is posting this man’s last minutes casually is sort of insane.”
