A snap of Professor Stephen Hawking grinning with a cocktail in hand while flanked by two bikini-clad women was released among the Epstein files.
His name appeared hundreds of times in the documents released by the US Department of Justice, while he also features in several photographs too.
The late theoretical astrophysicist, who passed away in 2018, has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
An image of Hawking, which has previously circulated on social media, was included in the latest horde of documents which went public in January.

The author of A Brief History of Time was pictured grinning as he lay on a sun lounger alongside two unidentified women in bikinis.

The trio are each holding what appear to be fruity cocktails as they relax in the sun. It is not known when or where the image was taken.
Other snaps of Hawking on Epstein's notorious island have been released in the past too. For example, one shows him dining with fellow guests as he attended a conference hosted by the sex offender back in 2006.
Another shows him enjoying a tour of the island’s seabed from the inside of a submarine, which Epstein is said to have specially modified so that Hawking could access it.
Hawking was among the myriad of high-profile figures whose names featured in the files, while Attorney General Pam Bondi released a 300-strong list of other famous faces who were mentioned.
Again, this is not an indication of wrongdoing or criminal activity.
In one email exchange from 2015, Jeffrey Epstein is seen asking his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell if he could help gather proof that Hawking did not 'participate in an underage orgy'.

The disgraced financier, who took his own life while awaiting trial in 2019, also vouched for Hawking in another message sent to journalist and media consultant Michael Wolff in September 2016.
He described claims that famous scientist and mathematician Marvin Minsky had sex with an underage girl as 'ludicrous'.
Theoretical physicist and cosmologist Lawrence Krauss also appeared to defend Hawking in an email sent to a reporter in December 2017.
Krauss said in part: "Claims online began to surface about me with a sexual nature. The first I saw online was a claim that Stephen Hawking and I had had an orgy at one of Jeffrey's properties.
"If you know anything about my friend Stephen Hawking you will know this is patently ridiculous."
One of the most bizarre emails mentioning Hawking was received by Epstein four days after the physicist passed away. The sender of the message was redacted by officials before it was released in the document dump.

The unknown person is seen asking Epstein: "Will you attend his funeral? He was my favorite Astronome= [sic] of all time and apparently a naughty one too."
Former political advisor James P. McGee also offered his condolences to Epstein in wake of Hawking's passing in an email sent the following day.
"I know that you had worked with him and that he had =ttended [sic] some of your conferences in the past," it said. "Sad day for science and people that look beyond the =orld [sic] today McGee."
Hawking visited Epstein's notorious private island back with dozens of other scientists in 2006 for a conference that was arranged by the paedophile in the months before he was first charged with child sex offences.
LADbible has contacted Hawking's estate for comment.
