Jeffrey Epstein sent a shocking final text message before he died of suicide, a renowned author has claimed.
The convicted sex offender, who was on trial for sex trafficking, was found hanged in a New York prison cell in 2019. A 2023 report compiled by the Department of Justice determined that he died by suicide.
And even though conspiracy theories suggested that the 66-year-old's death was a homicide due to him holding on to a so-called 'client list', no actual evidence to back this up was found.
The Justice Department and the FBI recently said the infamous 'Epstein Files' implicating high-profile associates was nowhere to be seen.

They found no 'incriminating list' and 'no credible evidence' of blackmailing wealthy individuals.
Author Michael Wolff, however, believes Epstein didn't kill himself and has even claimed that he was in touch with him before his death.

The Donald Trump biographer told The Daily Beast Podcast that he had known the accountant for years and had declined his request to write a book about him in 2014.
“I believe that I got the last message from him before he died,” Wolff told host Joanna Coles. “And this came through one of his lawyers on a Friday evening. He died on Saturday morning.”

“His message to me hours before this happened was—and it was just in response to me asking how he was—and he said, 'Still hanging around'.”
“He could not, as described, have killed himself,” Wolff added. “As the circumstances presented, he could not have been murdered.”
When asked how Epstein could have died, the author replied: “I don’t know.”
The lack of evidence regarding a 'client list' comes after Elon Musk claimed Trump's promise to release it during his run in for presidency wasn't carried through due to his alleged association with Epstein.

After the duo had a public fallout last month, he tweeted: "Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public," he wrote.
"Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out," he later added. Although, Musk didn't provide any evidence for his claim.
As always, the US president denied the claims and his association with Epstein, despite having called him a 'terrific guy' to the New York magazine in 2002.
In 2017, Wolff said he interviewed Epstein about Trump while researching his book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.
In a statement provided to the Daily Beast, Trump’s communications director, Steven Cheung, shut down the link between the pair: “Michael Wolff is a lying sack of s**t and has been proven to be a fraud. He routinely fabricates stories originating from his sick and warped imagination, only possible because he has a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain.”
