Jimmy Kimmel hasn't been back on our screens for long, but it seems as if the comedian is doing his best to get banned again after taking a brutal swipe at Donald Trump last night.

On 15 September, the TV host made a few comments on his show Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the wake of Charlie Kirk's death, where he discussed the 'politicisation' of the 31-year-old's passing, suspected shooter Tyler Robinson's arrest, and President Donald Trump's reaction to Kirk's death.

Afterwards, ABC announced that Kimmel's show had been suspended 'indefinitely', a decision which was met with significant backlash by a host of famous faces, as well as joy from President Trump.

However, Kimmel's suspension was lifted, and the 57-year-old made his return to the TV screen.

On 29 September, the host came out swinging when he joked about the President's strange decision to declassify files related to the mystery surrounding Amelia Earhart, a pilot who disappeared back in 1937.

On Truth Social, Trump wrote: "I have been asked by many people about the life and times of Amelia Earhart, such an interesting story.

"Amelia made it almost three-quarters around the World before she suddenly, and without notice, vanished, never to be seen again. Her disappearance, almost 90 years ago, has captivated millions.

"I am ordering my Administration to declassify and release all Government Records related to Amelia Earhart, her final trip, and everything else about her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Following his announcement, Kimmel quipped that the President has been 'hard at work' coming up with 'all sorts of nonsense' to distract us from the alleged Epstein files, as he said: "Unless her final flight was to [Jeffrey] Epstein's island, no one cares. At least he made it to the E's in the files. That's progress."

The Trump administration has received significant pressure to release documents surrounding Epstein, who died by suicide in August 2019.

In September, the US House Oversight Committee released 33,295 pages to the public, which contained documents regarding flight logs, jail surveillance video, court filings, audio recordings, and emails.

A message allegedly from Trump was featured in the so-called 'birthday book', which appeared to show a drawing of a woman's body with the former businessman's supposed signature at the bottom.

However, Trump has denied any connection to this drawing, calling it 'a fake thing', while his attorneys have insisted that 'no authentic letter or drawing exists'.

Further files regarding Epstein have been released by Congressional Democrats, revealing a few names, like Elon Musk.

Following this, Musk clarified why his name was included.
