King Charles III and Queen Camilla have just wrapped up their historic four-day trip in the US with warm goodbyes to President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania.
One of the highlights was Charles hitting back at Trump's comments about the UK after he remarked that, without America, many Europeans might be speaking German today because of WWII.
The King quipped that without Britain, Americans might instead be speaking French, referencing how Britain and France fought for control of America in the 18th century.
It's safe to say that everyone in room saw the funny side.

As Charles and Camilla said their farewells, they exchanged a number of gifts that reflected the long-standing relationship between the UK and the US.

Historic gifts
Trump was presented with a framed replica of the 1879 design plans for the famous Resolute Desk.
The desk, which sits in the Oval Office, was made from the timber of the British exploration ship HMS Resolute and was originally gifted to President Rutherford B. Hayes by Queen Victoria in 1880 as a sign of goodwill between the two nations.
In return, the Republican leader presented the King with a replica of a letter written in 1785 by American diplomat John Adams to John Jay.
In the letter, Adams described his meeting with King George III after the American Revolution, where both men expressed hopes of rebuilding friendship between Britain and the newly formed United States.
The royal and presidential couples also exchanged more personal gifts. Queen Camilla presented Melania with a brooch designed by British artist Fiona Rae.
Soon after, the First Lady gifted the Queen a set of Tiffany English King Sterling Silver teaspoons along with a jar of White House honey.
Message to William and Kate

Melania then requested that the King send her love to 'Catherine and William and their children,' before advising him to 'take some time for you'.
Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that it signified 'authentic closeness'.
"The way he clutched her upper arms and his proximity for the kiss made this the kind of ritual he normally reserves for female relatives, suggesting some genuine levels of warmth," James said.
Trump also asked the King: "Are you going to come to Turnberry in a few months?"
Charles laughed and replied: "No, I'm not," before Trump responded: "Aww. Come over for a chat."
