A man tragically lost his entire leg from a 'small cut during a spa treatment' as he tried to win his wife back.
Glenn Morris, from Maryland, US, treated his wife Melissa Morris to a $270 (£203) spa package in 2017 in a bid to rekindle their romance after a separation.
The three-hour-long treatment, consisting of a massage, a manicure, and a pedicure, ended with a small cut on the 54-year-old's second toe.
A small tool seemed to have nicked his toe slightly, and Glenn thought nothing of it at the time.
However, the dad-of-four went to hospital days later after doctors told him that his 'swollen' toe was due to a 'terrible infection'.
Medics were forced to remove the bone in his second toe in June 2017 because the infection had spread.
As the infection continued to move through his foot, he had his big toe amputated in 2018 and his third toe amputated in 2019.

The printing company owner has since blamed the nail shop's 'unsanitary' equipment and has even claimed that 28 others were affected, but did not claim legal action. He said the shop owners have fled the high street following the complaints.
"We said we wanted to start doing things together and [a pedicure] was one of the things on the list that she wanted to do," he said.

We left feeling very refreshed.
"They cut my toe with one of the tools that they had but I didn't think anything of it. We took a trip and on the way back we stayed in a hotel."
The next day, Glenn said he went to the pool and noticed that his small toe had 'swollen up as big as my big toe'.
"It had to be from unsanitary utensils or ones that didn't get cleaned properly," he added.
"I couldn't see it but once the incision cut me the infection went in.
The father-of-four has issued a warning to people who visit high street nail salons (Kennedy News and Media) "You don't think anything is wrong but then three days later you have to go to the hospital with a terrible infection."
After going to rehab, Glen now has a prosthetic leg which he is able to walk on.
The dad has also encouraged people to visit podiatrists instead of high-street nail shops.
"It hurts me to see nail shops so full every week knowing that every time I went to a podiatrist to have them check my feet the officer would say it's full of people who are there because of an infection [from nail shops]," he continued.
"He said it's so common and that so many people come in with foot injuries from pedicures, whether they know at the time or not.
"A podiatrist is the best place to get your nails clipped and the safest place. I'd warn people against using places on the high street."
