David Wilcock, a US author and YouTuber prominent in the UFO conspiracy circles, has died at the age of 53.
According to a press release by the local Sheriff's office, police were called to Wilcock's home in Boulder, Colorado, on Monday (20 April) following reports of a person 'experiencing a mental health crisis'.
Officers arrived at the address shortly after 11am and found a man, understood to be Wilcock, standing outside the residence with a gun.

"Within minutes of deputies’ arrival, he used the weapon on himself. He was pronounced deceased at the scene," the release added.
His death comes days after he told followers on X that he had 'very intense stuff going on' over the weekend' and would therefore be missing his regular show.

"Either way, I want you all to know how much I love and appreciate you," he wrote in the 18 April post.
"Always remember that the Creator is within - and we live in a loving universe. I am very grateful to you for all of your love, care and support."
Who was David Wilcock?
Wilcock was known for his work on UFO research, having published several books on the subject throughout his life, including The Synchronicity Key and The Source Field Investigations.
He was also a member of the disclosure movement, a group of people who argue that governments are covering up evidence of aliens and UFOs, as well as interdimensional beings and time-travellers.
The news of his passing has already led to numerous conspiracy theories amongst his followers, with several fans raising questions about the timing of his death.
Others also pointed to the content of his final YouTube video, which addressed the recent mysterious deaths of various UFO theorists and scientists.
This includes figures such as UFO investigator Nick Pope and Swiss conspiracy theorist Erich von Däniken.

Wilcock also commented on the deaths and/or disappearances of 10 scientists involved in US nuclear or space research programmes in recent years.
Interest in the missing scientists has led to confirmation of an FBI investigation, with Donald Trump even calling the situation 'pretty serious stuff'.
"Some of them were very important people, and we're going to look at it over the next short period," the US leader told reporters, adding that he hoped it was a 'coincidence'.
"Now, they're saying that they’re gonna investigate this," he said of the update.
"The president himself is saying they’re gonna look into this and see if anything is going on. It’s a little bit scary."
