Plane Passenger Spotted Sleeping Under His Seat Has Left People Baffled

You know the drill: when you board a flight, one of the first things you do to get comfortable is is take your shoes off. Well... OK, maybe you don't take your shoes off but, let's face it, the area under the seat in front is solely for feet, the shoes you've just removed, and the general detritus you've brought with you, right?

Wrong. On some flights, the area under the seat is also home to passengers who seize the opportunity to get some shut-eye during the flight. Or at least, that's the case for this guy.

The bloke can be seen lying flat out on his back underneath the aisle seat with his legs outstretched. Suppose it's a change from being sat crumpled up on your chair... where you're supposed to be.

Naturally, after the picture was posted on to social media, people couldn't get their heads around this unusual sighting.

One asked the question we were all wondering: "Does he have shoes on? That's all I really need to know, lol!"

Another wrote: "I wonder how people get away with this stuff?? I can barely undo my seat buckle without notice."

Someone else praised the fella, saying: "Points for creativity. I want to see a video of how they got under there and how they get out when everyone stands when the plane lands."

Another person was less impressed, however, posting: "I've literally seen a bottle of urine spill all over the floor during takeoff, too many projectile vomiters to count, and God knows what else spilled on that floor. Not to mention everyone's nasty airport/airplane feet. HELL NO."

The picture of the guy enjoying a stretched-out 40 winks was shared by Instagram page Passenger Shaming, which has nearly one million followers and was set up by former flight attendant Shawn Kathleen.

The page allows people to let off steam by tagging the account in their post - giving the page the content it needs to showcase passengers' worst habits.

Things that have been brought up range from people clipping their toe nails (awful creatures) and picking the heels of their feet (equally as vile), shaving their feet (WTF?!), fighting (classy) and allowing children to draw all over the aircraft (isn't that good parenting?).
