Viral TikTok skateboarder has made his acting debut in new TV series

You might remember him from a clip of him drinking cranberry juice, skateboarding, and lip-syncing Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams'.

TikTok star Nathan Apodaca has used his 15-minutes of fame to launch himself into an acting gig.

The bloke who attracted headlines around the world for skateboarding down a road drinking cranberry juice and listening to Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams' has hit the big time.

He's earned himself a guest spot on Hulu's Reservation Dogs.

The show, created by New Zealand cinematic genius Taika Waititi, is an Indigenous American comedy drama series set in Oklahoma, that follows the ups and downs of teenage life.

The show has an all American Indigenous cast and also boasts an almost entirely Indigenous North American cast and production team, which is pretty neat.

Apodaca's TikTok garnered more than 13.4 million likes after it was posted and it spawned copycat videos from the OGs themselves, Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, as well as other celebs including Shakira and Gordon Ramsay.

But the reason behind his mode of transport actually came from hardship.

The 37-year-old began skateboarding to work when his car wouldn't start, he told The New York Times.

"It’s just a video on TikTok that everyone felt a vibe with," he said back in 2020.

"I’m happy that I could chill the world out for a minute."

He shot the viral video when he was on his way to work at a potato farm.

After his video went viral, an Ocean Spray representative showed up at his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with a gift: a cranberry red car with its ute tray full of juice.

And now, it's earned him a guest spot on Reservation Dogs.

The Northern Arapaho man is credited as Uncle Charley in three episodes of the Hulu show's most recent season, as per his IMDb page.

"Fokin Ayez check me out in my acting debut with Reservation Dogs," the TikTok star turned actor said on social media.

"Thanks to the team and cast for making this experience like no other."

His followers have been showering him with support for his newfound career choice.

One user said: "OMG I saw the commercial and was, like, 'No way, that's not him'. Congrats."

A second person added: "This is just the beginning of good things to come."

A third chipped in with: "All this from drinking Ocean Spray riding a skateboard singing Fleetwood Mac."

Season two of Reservation Dogs is now streaming on Hulu.
