A woman has warned people about the dangers of getting bad body art ideas from Pinterest after coming to realise that the 'inspirational' tattoo she had on her thigh was actually quite sexual in nature.
Maria Avery, from Florida, got 'keep going' tattooed on her thigh, only to later realise the tat had an unwelcome double meaning.

The video posted to the 22-year-old's TikTok channel starts with the question: "What is the dumbest tattoo that you've ever gotten?"
She then jumps in to explain, saying: "It's my time to shine. I've been waiting for this moment.
"Eighteen-year-old me was on Pinterest and thought 'keep going' is such an inspirational quote, I should just get it tattooed on me."
Pointing to a photo of said tat, Maria explains her family were not best pleased with her life choices.
She says: "This is where I got, this is where I thought was a good idea.

"My family saw it and were like, 'What the f*** is that? That's so sexual, get it removed,' so I figured I could fix it."
And the story isn't over just yet. There's more.
"It only gets dumber at this point," Maria insists. "So I realised I had to either cover it up or get it removed.
"I didn't want to get it removed so I did cover it up, but this is probably the dumbest tattoo I've ever gotten."

Maria decided amending the text to 'keep going forward' would fix it. It didn't.
She says in the video: "The tattoo artist literally said when putting 'forward' on it, 'I was hoping you didn't want me to put 'keep going harder''."
Maria then shows what her tattoo looks like now, having been covered up by three roses.

At the end of the video, she concludes by saying: "Don't get dumb tattoos from Pinterest."
But as I said, Maria isn't the first and she certainly will not be the last person to venture into a tattoo parlour and pick out a pretty embarrassing design.
However, it could have been worse for her, she could have decided to get her risque phrase done backwards, and then she really would have been sorry.
Sadly, someone who didn't think of this issue before having his tattoo done was Dylan Harraway, 18, a rapper from Virginia, US, spent two hours getting 'Dream Chaser' inked on his forearm.
