A woman has revealed that she once accidentally text her university lecturer a dirty message.

In an understandably anonymous post to Reddit, the student said she was mortified after having sent the text, which said, 'Punish me, daddy'.

She explained that the line came from a trashy novel she had been reading, which her boyfriend had mocked, 'dissing the story, poking holes all over the narrative'.

She wrote: "There's a paragraph where the two protagonists seen on the cover are playing pool and the girl (who btw is the worst self-insert ever) loses so she tells the guy to 'please punish me, daddy'."

One day, the woman says, she was browsing her local book store when she stumbled across the very same book.

Taking the opportunity to share a joke with her partner, she sent him a selfie with the book, captioning it, 'punish me, daddy'.

Unfortunately, however, her lecturer and her boyfriend shared the same name. Oh dear.

"I ended up sending the picture to my professor because his name came up first," she continued.

"Silly mistake, could've deleted right? But I didn't realise this until I got into a taxi and by then there were two blue ticks on the message [signifying that it had been read].

"I was mortified because he could've reported me for breaking student-teacher protocol."

The following day, her lecturer finally replied.

He said: "It's very disruptive to the hallowed student-teacher relationship and I do NOT condone this kind of behaviour."

The woman then concluded: "It'll prob make classes with him awkward for a while."

But it's not just student-teacher relationships that have been ruined recently.

Fans of Shrek have been spotting risqué jokes in the films, ruining their childhoods.

Posting on TikTok, @kathy_martinez05 has shared one scene that likely went way over your head as a youngster.

In the clip, Lord Farquaad can be seen reclining in bed with a martini while asking the magic mirror to show him a picture of Princess Fiona, to which the mirror - somewhat reluctantly - obliges.

But if you look closely at the bed sheets, you'll see a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment where a bulge seems to appear as though the villain is just a bit too excited about the thought of the beautiful princess.

Absolute filth.
