An American woman has called on airlines to offer child-free flights after sitting through a three-hour flight from hell.

Florida woman Morgan Lee took to TikTok to make the observation after a particularly harrowing experience with a child who certainly didn't enjoy their journey.

"Why isn’t there such a thing as adult only flights? I would pay so much money [for that]," she said with the video, which has now been viewed over 650,000 times.

The 24-year-old added: "The flight was three hours and I listened to this the entire time.

"I have noise cancelling headphones, the child was well over five years old, and they sat directly behind me while kicking my chair as the mother slept."

Lee, who now lives in Vienna in Austria, copped a lashing from parents on the popular app.

One user said: "And this is why people/parents/mums have anxiety when leaving the house. Because no grace is given."

A second went for the jugular with a sarcastic jibe: "Poor you. My heart goes out to you and the amount of hours you endured another human's cries. I hope you’re better now."

Some parents took Lee's video and 'dueted' it so they could roast her to their own followers, with one video branding Lee as 'disgusting' and a 'cretin'.

One user pointed out that if she wants to pay 'so much' for flights without children there is a solution: "They’re called private planes and you can book a private flight and pay as much as you want to have the plane for yourself."

It wasn't just livid parents that waded into the comments, though.

Some parents said they would pay extra too in order to have some peace and quiet.

One user said: "As a mum, I want an adult-only flight too."

Others just grabbed some popcorn and watched the mums melt down.

A 2017 survey confirmed that loads of people want the same thing as Morgan.

According to Business Insider, half of parents who took part in the study believed they should have to sit in a designated section for the comfort of others.

Some international airlines such as Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Scoot Airlines, and IndiGo have already introduced kid-free zones.
