WW3 fears explode as Russia issues chilling new nuclear threat to the world

A long-time ally of Vladimir Putin has slammed Donald Trump's missile threat

Russia has issued a fresh warning to Donald Trump following his backing of Ukraine.

While the US president has been busy claiming to orchestrate a Gaza peace deal, he's still managed to find the time to threaten Vladimir Putin.

The Republican leader, 79, remains focused on settling the Russia-Ukraine war and said on Sunday that he may send Ukraine Tomahawk missiles if their counterparts don't back down. American Tomahawks can strike targets from a range of 1,500 miles and can travel as fast as 550 miles per hour.

As Trump flew to Israel, he told reporters aboard Air Force One: "I might say, look, if this war is not going to get settled, I’m going to send them Tomahawks.

"The Tomahawk is an incredible weapon, very offensive weapon. And honestly, Russia does not need that.

“I might tell them that if the war is not settled - that we may very well.

“We may not, but we may do it. I think it’s appropriate to bring up.”

A long-time ally of Putin was quick to hit back at Trump, saying that supplying Ukraine with cruise missiles would 'end badly for everyone'.

Dmitri Medvedev wrote on Telegram: "Trump said that if the Russian President doesn't resolve the Ukrainian conflict, 'it will end badly for him'.

"He's making this threat for the hundred and first time, in short. If the 'business peacemaker' is referring to Tomahawks, the phrase is incorrect.

"The delivery of these missiles could end badly for everyone. And most of all, for Trump himself."

Medvedev previously added: "This would be a serious escalation which, however, wouldn't change the situation for the Kyiv regime on the front lines.

"But it's important to understand that, leaving aside the details, we're talking about nuclear capable missiles. Therefore, this is truly a serious escalation."

It comes after Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his nightly address on Sunday that he was working close with Trump in a bid to strengthen Ukraine's defensive capabilities.

"We see and hear that Russia fears the possibility of the United States providing us with Tomahawks," he said.

"It is a signal that this kind of pressure can be effective in achieving peace. President Trump and I agreed that our teams and our military will be working on all the matters we discussed."

Well, many world leaders, including Putin, have been congratulating Trump after he helped secure a peace deal for Gaza.

After signing the Gaza peace plan in Sharm el-Sheikh, he said: "This took 3,000 years, can you believe it? And it's going to hold up."

Part of the plan envisages Gaza as 'a de-radicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbours'.
