
German influencer Laura Viktoria Härtig has died after being involved in a bicycle collision while on her honeymoon.
The 30-year-old was cycling on a road in the Dolomite mountain range when she collided with former Olympian Peter Runggaldier, 57, who was on a motorbike, Italian outlet Il Dolomiti reported.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and the outdoor influencer was resuscitated and airlifted to hospital in Bolzano, South Tyrol.
Runggaldier also had to be airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries in the crash.

In a statement at the time, local police said: “Road accident. This morning the force attended a road accident at Passo Sella, kilometer 32+400.
“A motorcycle and a bicycle were involved. Traffic was stuck for about an hour. Intervened in support of the Canazei VVF, the White Cross of Canazei, Trentino emergency and the helicopter services.”

The accident occurred on 23 June and medics fought to save her life for almost three weeks.
However, Härtig’s heartbroken family announced that she had tragically passed away on Sunday (12 July).
A message shared on Härtig’s Instagram, where she had more than 55,500 followers, marked the dates of her life from 25 January 1996 to 12 July 2026.
Sharing a carousel of images of Härtig, the statement read: “Laura headed to her beloved mountains at sunset.
“Mountains where the sun always shines, the finest powder snow lies, the best routes await, and there is a hut stocked with all her favorite snacks.
“That is where she is now, waiting for us.
“Thank you for your sympathy, your support, and your kind words. It is truly special that Laura was able to share her passion with so many people—both through this channel and beyond.
“Until we meet again on the next summit, Laura.”
lI Dolomiti, reported that investigators are still examining the details of the accident to work out exactly what happened.
According to local media, Runggaldier is cooperating with police.

Härtig, who used her Instagram account to showcase her outdoor adventures traveling, hiking, cycling and skiing, had recently tied the knot with her partner Tilman.
Just days before the crash, she shared a clip from their wedding day, showing the couple exchanging their vows in front of an alpine mountain range while loved ones watched on.
Sharing the video, she wrote: “Soulmate for life."
On Tuesday 14 July, Runggaldier posted about the tragic accident on Instagram, writing: “Dear friends, in regard to the serious road accident in which I was involved, I ask you to respect my moment of pain and my need for confidentiality.
“My thoughts go out to all the people involved and their families. I trust in your sensitivity and please understand that at this time I will not give any interviews or statements.”
Runggaldier is an accomplished alpine skier and has represented Italy twice in the Winter Olympics, first in in Lillehammer, Norway in1994 and then again in 1998 in Nagano, Japan.
He also won the World Cup of Alpine Skiing twice, in Canada in 1995 and Japan in 1996.
