Russian propagandist issues chilling nuclear threat to the UK as Poland incident escalates WW3 tensions

Vladimir Solovyov launched a tirade on a mainstream state-controlled TV channel

A Russian propagandist has issued a chilling nuclear threat to the UK.

This comes as the nation sent drones into Polish territory and were shot down by Nato jets. With the incident marking the first defensive action of its kind since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, it is said to have escalated the fears and tensions of a World War III.

Defence officials from Poland, Italy, France, Germany and the UK held talks in London earlier today (10 September) as the Defence Secretary, John Healey, said: “Together we, the E5, totally condemn these attacks.

“Russia’s actions are reckless, they’re dangerous, they’re unprecedented.

“We see what Putin is doing. Yet again he is testing us. Yet again we will stand firm.”

And following that, a leading TV propagandist in Russia seems to be calling for missile strikes.

Healey said that he has spoken to the UK Armed Forces ‘to look at options to bolster Nato’s air defence over Poland’ as he said Vladimir Putin was ‘testing us’ with the overnight attacks.

The Russian Foreign Ministry claims Poland has been spreading ‘myths’ about the drone incursion.

In a statement shared on its site, it repeats the claim that it had not planned to target territory in Poland. “These concrete facts completely debunk the myths once again spread by Poland to further escalate the Ukrainian crisis,” it says.

And, nicknamed a bit of a ‘mouthpiece’ for Moscow, Vladimir Solovyov launched a tirade on a mainstream state-controlled TV channel and suggested Russian missiles could target leaders in the English capital.

Comparing to Israel’s assassination of Hamas leaders, Solovyov said: “[Benjamin] Netanyahu says [he staged] an operation against the top leadership of Hamas. Great.

“And does it matter that this is the top leadership of Hamas that was invited [to Qatar] for negotiations? So it turns out that this is possible.”

He added during the state-run broadcast: “That is, we invite negotiators and strike them…”

He then went on to add with the Nato ministers gathered in London: “So maybe [if] they are there today or tomorrow, we can hit them?

“Well, it is possible, right? What's the problem? They are making plans against us. They gathered, all of Russia's main enemies are there now.

“Can they be hit then? Well, that's normal…”

Following the incident, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said in a statement: “This morning’s barbaric attack on Ukraine and the egregious and unprecedented violation of Polish and Nato airspace by Russian drones is deeply concerning.

“This was an extremely reckless move by Russia and only serves to remind us of President Putin’s blatant disregard for peace, and the constant bombardment innocent Ukrainians face every day.”

He said the UK and partners will continue to ‘ramp up the pressure on Putin until there is a just and lasting peace’.
