The family of the streamer who died following a ten-day live stream has spoken out on his death.
It’s said Raphaël Graven, better known as Jean Pormanove, was tortured on the marathon stream before taking his ‘last breath’ on camera.
An investigation into his death has been launched as local media claims he was subjected to humiliation and violence.
The 46-year-old was a prominent figure in the French streaming scene and featured in content with Owen Cenazandotti ('Naruto') and Safine Hamadi ('Safine') on the Twitch-like live streaming platform Kick.

Previous streams allegedly saw Jean Pormanove slapped, spat on and grabbed by the throat, with objects thrown at him. And his family have now said what he went through in the lead-up to his death this week was ‘unacceptable’.

Speaking to RTL, the streamer’s mum describes a boy ‘with a big heart’ as she says he gained a second family living in Nice.
“He had brothers in Metz, but he found brothers in Nice, he was a family, he was invited everywhere,” she said, in a translation.
And his sister now believes he died due to exhaustion as she says his death is ‘intolerable’.

"I was very, very proud of what my brother became," she said. "I didn't watch everything, but I think he shouldn't have died like that, that he died of exhaustion. What he went through is unacceptable."
Gwen who made content with Jean Pormanove and participated in the live streams said it was ‘very trashy content’ but was all consensual as he understands not everyone will agree with it.
"We did a lot of stupid things, a lot of challenges, but it was still pretty controlled, scripted," he explained.
A French minister said Jean Pormanove endured ‘absolute horror’ as the prosecutor’s office confirmed it had opened an investigation into Jean Pormanove’s cause of death and ordered an autopsy.

Naruto's lawyer Yassin Sadouni said to Le Monde regarding Jean pPrmanove's death: "We are awaiting the results of the investigation aimed at determining all the conditions of 'JP's' death and identifying the responsibilities of each person."
He added to AFP: "My client bears no responsibility for this death."
A Kick spokesperson told LADbible: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Jean Pormanove and extend our condolences to his family, friends and community.
"We are urgently reviewing the circumstances and engaging with relevant stakeholders to investigate the situation. Kick’s community guidelines are designed to protect creators, and we remain committed to upholding these standards across our platform."
