Donald Trump is set to make Vladimir Putin an offer that's too good to refuse to end the war in Ukraine, according to reports.
The US President, 79, will sit down with his Russian counterpart on Friday (15 August) in the hopes of hammering out a ceasefire deal.
The two world leaders will meet at a US military facility in Alaska for what is expected to be a make or break summit - as Trump has already warned he's running out of patience.
He has threatened to impose 'very severe consequences' on Russia if Putin doesn't agree to a peace agreement, which will likely come in the form of harsh economic sanctions.

But Trump is still holding out hope that Putin might surprise him... as he's also got Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on standby for a follow-up meeting if his chat with the tyrant goes to plan.
"If the first one goes ok, we’ll have a quick second one," Trump told reporters on Wednesday. "I would like to do it almost immediately, and we’ll have a quick second meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky and myself, if they’d like to have me there."

However, before this trio possibly get in a room together to hash things out, Trump has to tackle Putin first - and he reportedly plans to woo him with some very enticing proposals.
To encourage the Russian leader to call time on his more than three year invasion of Ukraine, the commander-in-chief is hoping to appeal to his entrepreneurial side.

Trump intends to put a number of financially prosperous incentives on the table, such as granting Russia access to rare earth minerals which occupied areas of Ukraine are rich in, The Telegraph reports.
The war-torn nation reckons that it has about five percent of the world's 'critical raw materials', including graphite, titanium, lithium, beryllium, uranium, copper, lead, zinc, silver, nickel, cobalt and manganese.
Needless to say, being promised access to this bounty of natural resources might just convince Putin to put a stop to the conflict.
As well as this, Trump will reportedly agree to opening up Alaska's supplies of raw materials to Russia too, as he's hoping Putin will be swayed by the prospect of striking oil.
The US President is also expected to lift export bans on equipment and parts for Russian planes, which would breathe new life into the country's fleet of aircraft which have been grounded due to their desperate need for repairs.

"There are a range of incentives, in which a potential mineral/rare earth deal could be one," a source told The Telegraph of Trump's alleged game plan for the high stakes meeting.
All in all, it sounds like Putin is being offered a licence to print money if he agrees to peace with Ukraine.
European leaders are also said to be happy for Trump to present these offers to Putin, as long as the world doesn't view it as Russia being rewarded.
"The sense is that it has to be presented to align with public opinion around this, it cannot be seen as a reward for Putin," a UK government source also told The Telegraph.

Ukraine's President isn't feeling that optimistic about Trump and Putin thrashing out a deal though, as he's warned the US leader that 'Putin is bluffing' about being ready for peace.
"[Putin] is trying to apply pressure before the meeting in Alaska along all parts of the Ukrainian front," Zelenskyy said. "Russia is trying to show that it can occupy all of Ukraine."
"Regarding our principles and territorial integrity, in the end this is all decided at the level of leaders. Without Ukraine [at the peace talks], it is impossible to decide this. And, by the way, everyone also supports this."
