A list has revealed the six most dangerous places you could be in the world if World War Three were to break out.

With international tensions continuing to mount as Russia's invasion of Ukraine grinds on and Trump continues his war with Iran, the world is becoming a more dangerous place.

But if World War Three were to break out, where might the most dangerous parts of the world be?

The best or worst place to be during World War Three depends a lot on your perspective - if you want to make it through and help to maintain and rebuild humanity, then somewhere safe is definitely the better option.

But there's also the grim perspective of not wishing to be alive in a post-apocalypse world, where nuclear war has ravaged the planet and humanity lives a harsh, brutal existence.

Those wishing to avoid that may want to be as close to the nuclear bombs as possible so they are instantly vaporised, rather than dying slowly of radiation sickness.

Of course there are some crucial factors which are at play with whether somewhere is more dangerous, for example if you live near to a military base for example, then you could be out of luck as these would be likely to be targeted, as well as major infrastructure centres and the horrifying prospect of deliberately targeting major population centres.

But here we're going to take a look at some countries which you would not want to be in if the worst does happen, according to The Express.

The USA

The biggest superpower in the world is all but certain to be involved in a World War Three in some way, and that is likely to make it a target.

Of course, where you are in the US will affect the danger level, but the US is likely to be a dangerous place.

Iran

Iran is already a very dangerous place as US and Israeli strikes have killed thousands since Trump began the war.

The Islamic Republic has frequently flexed its power beyond its own borders, and has been a flashpoint in global tensions.

Israel

Israel is the target of missile attacks from Iran, though it has an extensive network of defence systems in place including shelters and the Iron Dome anti-missile system.

While these can mitigate threats, Israel would be likely to be targeted.

Russia

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is continuing to grind on, and Ukraine has scored some significant victories in holding Russia off.

This war also has a higher potential for escalation, with Russia potentially attacking a member of NATO potentially dragging many more countries into the conflict.

North Korea

The secretive state remains highly antagonistic of its southern neighbours, as well as being closely aligned with Russia and China.

These factors could mean that it would be a target.

Taiwan

Perhaps less expected than the other entries on this list, but Taiwan is currently at risk of being targeted by China.

The superpower has designs on the island of Taiwan, and it could be the target of military action.
