Will Trump be happy?

Looks like Barack Obama's number one bro Joe Biden won't be needing to sign-on after all. Within weeks of his Vice Presidency coming to an end he's been offered a new job teaching at the university from which Donald Trump graduated.

The 74-year-old Democrat has announced he is taking a teaching gig at the University of Pennsylvania, accepting a position at the Annenberg School for Communication and the School of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School.

His role will see him leading the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, a new centre focused principally on diplomacy, foreign policy, and national security.

Biden will have an office in Washington, DC., where the centre will be located, and on the Penn campus in Philadelphia.

In a statement released by the University, Biden said: "At Penn, I look forward to building on the work that has been a central pillar of my career in public office: promoting and protecting the post-WWII international order that keeps the United States safe and strong.

"The Penn Biden Center and I will be engaging with Penn's wonderful students while partnering with its eminent faculty and global centers to convene world leaders, develop and advance smart policy, and impact the national debate about how America can continue to lead in the 21st Century."

Trump graduated from Wharton in 1968, where he transferred in his junior year from Fordham University in the Bronx. He is the University of Pennsylvania's first president.

The Donald talked about his alma mater a number of times during his bid to become US President.

"I went to an Ivy League school," he told a rally last December. "I went to an Ivy League school. I'm very highly educated. I know words, I have the best words."

No doubt the President won't be too happy to hear that his long-time critic Biden is now teaching there.

Biden and Barack's 'bromance' was notorious during their tenure together, the President even surprised the Vice President with the Presidential Medal of Freedom with Distinction during his last days in office.

In his speech, a tearful Biden thanked Obama, White House staff, his wife Jill and First Lady Michelle Obama.

"I get a lot of credit I don't deserve because I've had so many people to lean on," he said.

"Mr President, you know that with good reason there is no power in the vice presidency ... and there is no inherent power, nor should there be," he added. "Mr President, you have more than kept your commitment to me by saying that you wanted me to help govern.

"Every single thing you've asked me to do, Mr President, you have trusted me to do. And that is a remarkable thing."

Biden and Obama's relationship was memefied following the general election in November, in which the vice president was portrayed as an easy-going, foolish, rule breaker.

Here's a pic:

Trump and Pence still have a long-way to go before they get to that level.
