Germany's Rock am Ring festival has been shut down today due to a terrorist threat.
Festival organizers released a statement stating that the rest of the June 2 line-up has been cancelled earlier today.

Organisers asked fans to leave 'in a calm and controlled manner' following the announcement.
Rock am Ring said the threat was serious enough to evacuate the festival grounds and surrounding campsites.
Organizers hope to re-open the grounds for the remaining two days of the fest on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday's scheduled performers had included Rammstein, Five Finger Death Punch, Clutch, In Flames and Rival Sons.

Security at the festival had reportedly been tightened following the Manchester bombing last month.
