We'd all go above and beyond for our best mate. Holding back their hair while they puke down the toilet, protecting them in nightclubs, defending them from arseholes, lying for them... the list goes on and on.
I even know of a girl who helped her pal retrieve a tampon stuck up her lady bits. The things we do for our best friends.
But this is a bit weird - one person actually followed her friend on a date to make sure she had a good time.

Dawsyn was on a first date when she got a text from her best friend Georgia. She was asking why she wasn't eating her food.
Obviously confused, she replied: "what". And Georgia told her to look behind her.

And there she was - hood, moustache, creepy smile. She looks a lot like V from V for Vendetta if you ask me.
What was she going to do if the date was going badly? Intervene? Drag her best friend away? Throw a drink in the guy's face? Or just stare at him and creep him out?
Luckily, no one got called out and despite being creeped out by her pal - which would put me off - it all went well for Dawsyn and her date.

Date Horror Stories
I feel bad for the guy who went on that date with Dawsyn - he probably cottoned on to the fact the creep in the corner knew his date if they were making eye contact. I bet his story will appear on a list of bad dating stories. There's so many of them and some are pretty weird - but the amount of stories that involve socks is really surprising!
A woman called Daniela relayed a weird dating experience she had to Buzzfeed: "I had an online dating app for exactly one day because the first person to message me sent me a long, detailed, emotional message asking for permission to masturbate onto my socks."
Delete that app, immediately, or get the socks out, depending on your preferences.
