Boxing fans have been left stunned by Hafþór 'Thor' Björnsson's transformation ahead of his long-awaited fight with Eddie Hall after he shared new sparring footage. You can watch it below:

The former strongman is set to go toe to toe with the British champion in Dubai later this month.

And much has been made of both men's dedication, with Thor going from eating 10,000 calories a day to just 4,000, losing over 50kg in the process.

But it's not just changes to his physique that have impressed people.

After sharing a recent video from his training camp, fans have shared their admiration for The Mountain's impressive boxing skills.

In the video, he can be seen sparring with another fighter, moving pretty quickly around the ring and landing some big punches.

Commenting on the video, one user said: "Love seeing someone that was sooo big and strong go to boxing and actually learn to be technical and develop great movement.

"If you kept on I believe you could go really far in boxing. Stay moving and keep a high pace on Eddie and I see this being a hard night for Eddie. Can’t wait!!!"

Fans have been impressed by Thor's progress.

Echoing the praise, another said: "Very impressed with Thor's progression! Also, I’m so happy to see Thor lighter, looking healthy, and honestly looking happy! Man’s in great condition."

A third wrote: "Was a bit concerned watching you spar early on, you were moving like Frankenstein or the Mummy, very tentative with throwing your punches, but I’m very impressed with your movement now! Good luck to both of you!"

Some are also very confident after seeing how far Thor has come that he will be too much for Eddie on the night.

Backing the Game of Thrones star, one said: "I saw Thor at the Arnold Classic two years ago and when I say I saw him I mean he was about 30 feet away. And believe me when I tell you even at that distance he looked like he was wearing football pads under his shirt he was the largest 'human' I've ever seen.

Thor will be going up against Eddie Hall later this month.

"If he was dressed up in fur and walked by in the woods, I'd be 100 percent convinced Bigfoot was real. Even with his incredible weight drop I can still appreciate the mass of the this genetic elite specimen.

"Eddie Hall is going to be shredded to pieces especially with this Viking's reach advantage."

But not everyone is so certain of the outcome.

Some have spotted a chink in Thor's armour, which they believe Eddie will be able to exploit.

One user wrote: "This might be late to mention, but this progress is insane.

"Eddie’s definitely going to aim for body blows since most of the YouTube footage shows Thor not really have his midriff that well covered, hopefully Thor has a good answer for that!"

The pair were originally due to fight last September, but the clash was postponed after Eddie detached his bicep in training.

It will now go ahead on 19 March and you can livestream the fight for free on SEGI TV.
