North West has hit back over comments about her looks insisting that her piercings and fake face tattoos don’t make her ‘demonic’.
West, who is the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, grabbed headlines late last year when she debuted a unique goth-look at just 12-years-old.
In recent months, the teen has shocked her followers by showing off facial piercings, fake tattoos, ‘shark teeth’, coloured contacts, and bright blue hair paired with a series of dark-coloured outfits featuring spiked jewellery.
While experimenting with fashion and make-up is a normal part of life for most teenage girls, West’s famous parents meant that plenty of people were quick to weigh in on her new look with some suggesting she’d gone too far at such a young age.

While one expert even warned youngsters not to copy West after she got a ‘particularly risky’ finger piercing.
Following the ongoing commentary around her looks, West - who is now 13 - took to TikTok to hit out at her critics and urged folks not to ‘judge a book by its cover’.
In a TikTok livestream alongside her 45-year-old mum, West said: “I'm not demonic guys, stop saying I’m demonic. No, I’m not. Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover.”
When her mum chipped in to say that it was potentially the piercings and black grills that made people feel that way, she replied: “Yeah but I don’t know why you guys should put that with demonic because I don’t get that.”
West went on to say that she opted to wear a white outfit during her performance at the Chicago’s Vic Theatre to bat away rumours of ‘that demon stuff’.
“I was like, if I’m going to do my first show ever, I gotta come like an angel, all white,” she shared.
“Because you guys know I’m not on that demon stuff. I believe in Jesus. That’s how I came to show you guys I’m actually a light, not dark.”

The mother and daughter also responded to online claims that West’s image overhaul was due to her parent’s divorce.
Kardashian said: “When she was a baby, dropping her off at school, all she wanted was... her septum pierced or her eyebrow pierced.
“She would do like a double brow, just like in pre-K, going in with fake piercings.”
West then chipped in: “So you guys can’t say, ‘where did the style come [from]?’, ‘is this style from the divorce?’ No, queen.”
Kardashian has previously attempted to shut down comments about her teenage daughter.
Back in November, when West showed off her ‘high-risk’ finger piercing, one TikTok user said: "North West getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart, just me?"
But, after getting wind of the video, Kardashian left a somewhat sarcastic comment from the TikTok account she shares with her eldest child (@kimandnorth) which read: "It's okay," alongside a heart hands emoji.
And, according to California law, under-18s can only get a body piercing with the permission and in the presence of their parent or guardian - so it seems clear that her mum was on board with the decision.
