Jake Paul claims Floyd Mayweather and team tried to jump him after confrontation

Jake Paul claims Floyd Mayweather and team tried to jump him after confrontation

This isn't the first time they've faced off

Jake Paul has claimed Floyd Mayweather and his group tried to 'jump' him following a confrontation in Miami last night (8 March).

This isn't the first time the pair have come face-to-face - a couple of years back, they came to blows after Jake stole the boxing champ's hat ahead of his fight against Jake's brother Logan Paul.

More recently, the 'Problem Child' lost his anticipated showdown against Tommy Fury, something Mayweather brought up in the latest conflict.

According to TMZ, who captured the incident on camera, Mayweather and his entourage pulled up on Jake following the Cleveland Cavaliers vs Miami Heat game.

The 26-year-old appeared to only have one security guard with him, while 'Money' had a number of people by his side.

In the clip, the man behind the camera says: "What happened, you're not talking anymore since your loss?"

He then asks, "Are we going to bust him up, guys? Yo, let's bust him up."

Realising he's outnumbered, Jake makes a run for it as one of Mayweather's group asks: "Why's he running? I think because of last time."

Jake has since responded to the scuffle, sharing an Instagram Story in which he explained why he ran away while challenging the boxing legend to a one on one.

He said: "I'm leaving the Miami-Heat game, and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere, out of like some side alley waiting for me outside of the stadium.

"And they're like, 'So what's up? So what's all that talk now?' I'm like, 'First of all, what did I say to you, Floyd? I just took your hat and you're still mad about it. Come on, bro.'

"And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to try and jump me. I'm out that b***h, okay. Do you want to run it one on one? No problem. But I'm not dumb, okay.

"I'm tough. I don't need to prove my toughness, but I'm not f**king dumb. I'm not gonna sit there and try to fight 50 dudes."

Jake similarly called out the situation on Twitter where he once again challenged Mayweather to a fair fight.

"Floyd if you want to fight 1 on 1 we can do that but don’t try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night," he wrote.
