Bryan Johnson makes clone of himself after incurable diagnosis as he shares bizarre plan

Bryan Johnson's latest move in his eternal battle against mother nature has seen him 'clone' himself so he can harvest the healthy organs.

Biohacker Bryan Johnson has been going to extreme lengths to break the spell of ageing, going far beyond paying a surgeon very well.

Instead, he's been injecting his teenage son's blood in a bid to reverse the ageing process as well as maintaining a strict hours-long morning routine that involves shock wave therapy, sauna sessions and exercise.

In a cruel twist of fate, the 48-year-old revealed earlier in July he has been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis (AIG), a disease which leads to the stomach 'eating itself,' in May.

Though the diagnosis came as a blow to Johnson, he now sees it as 'one of the best things' that has happened to him as it has opened up new avenues in his war against Father Time.

'"This may be scary to some people…a dystopian future'

The first comes from 'cloning' himself so he can use the healthy organs that haven't been damaged throughout his life.

Writing on X, Johnson said: "This baby-bryan lives in a petri dish for now.

"This may be scary to some people…a dystopian future. But, for others, they will see it as the inevitable future of health.

"Clinical trials are already using this technology to restore dopamine neurones for Parkinson's, heart health and eyesight."

Using a technique developed by stem cell researcher Shinya Yamanaka, who won a Nobel Prize for his work, Johnson claims he has had his blood drawn, cells extracted and had their epigenetic age' reset to restore them to a 'embryonic-like state.'

This makes the cells capable of becoming almost any other type of cell in the body, or 'pluripotent'.

These can then be re-injected, so Johnson can 'rebuild' his body as the new healthy cells replace the unhealthy ones.

Given the cells originally came from himself, Johnson says his body will not reject the new ones, which is a risk with foreign cells.

"As cells age, they accumulate epigenetic errors compounding into dysfunction and disease," Johnson added.

"This technology gives us a path to reverse ageing.

"I mentioned getting diagnosed with an incurable disease is one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time. It’s opened up a frontier of new paths to repair and strengthen the body. This is the first example."

Despite Johnson's claims, he hasn't literally made a clone of himself as that isn't currently possible.

Johnson blames AIG diagnosis on an unhealthy diet in his 20s

Johnson blamed his AIG diagnosis on the fact his diet used to be dominated by unhealthy foods as he tried to juggle his family life with his work, earning his fortune in Silicon Valley.

“As a kid, I ate sugar cereal, drank sugary soda, and gobbled down fast food. I had a few healthy years in my early 20s but then became a young father of three and began building a business,” he wrote on X.

“Juggling that stress and grind, I let my health slip and gained 40 lbs. Within a few years I’d fallen into a deep, chronic depression.

“Somewhere in that timeline, my body began developing an autoimmune process affecting my thyroid and then my stomach lining."

AIG is incurable.
