'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' And 'Warzone' Glitch Makes Players Invisible

And for my next trick...

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call Of Duty: Warzone are not without their glitches. Over the past few months, players have discovered ways to fly helicopters underneath the map, sneak into the Stadium, and even bounce grenades off walls like they're playing a high-stakes round of squash.

However, this latest glitch might be one of the best/worst yet, as it appears to turn players completely invisible. That's quite the advantage in a game where the aim is to get the drop on enemy players, no?

As documented on Reddit, one poor player was downed and killed from out of the blue. When it switched to spectate the victorious player, it was clear that the two had come face to face - but the enemy was completely invisible. It's not entirely clear if this is something the player had done intentionally, or if it was a glitch beyond their control. They might not even have been aware the other player couldn't see them.

Despite the fact that hackers are a clear and present threat in the latest Call Of Duty, everyone seems to agree that this was unlikely to have been a cheat by design.

Some are arguing that the killer was simply using Dead Silence to maximize stealth, but as far as I'm aware that particular upgrade has never made a player completely invisible to rival players. Other players on the thread to use Dead Silence concur that while the player might have been using it, the invisibility was not an effect of the upgrade - certainly not an intentional one.

"I use DS all the time and I've never seen anything like this," one user wrote. "But I've been surprised by this game before. Not saying that's for sure what's happening, and it could just be a render glitch or client side lag, but again the game is..wonky at times so I have no idea, just total speculation."

While a few other players on the thread have confirmed the same thing has happened to them recently, it doesn't appear to be that widespread an issue. It's also worth noting that Activision and Infinity Ward have yet to acknowledge the glitch, which typically means that it's a freak bug that wont impact that many players.

Whatever happened here, it'll more than likely end up getting patched out in an impending update. But if it is the work of hackers? Well, may God have mercy on all our souls.
