Marvel Avengers Video Game Trailer Drops Ahead of 2020 Release

There was a hell of a lot of hype when Square Enix announced it was creating a video game based off the Marvel Avengers movie franchise.

But now we finally have a look at what we can expect.

Square Enix has revealed the game will be ready for everyone on May 15, 2020.

We're going to be able to climb into the suits of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow. We don't know who the enemy will be but we do know that it starts with the Avengers failing.

It's A-Day, the day the Avengers are opening their West Coast headquarters, allowing them to protect peace and freedom from a nice sunny city.

Plus, it makes the commute to Hollywood all the easier. However, when the Avengers come under attack, their helicarrier is destroyed and wreaks destruction on the city.

The backlash forces the Avengers to disband and the game's story picks up five years later.

Naturally, the world will come under threat once again and the Avengers will need to reunite to fight the big bad. Again, what that bad is hasn't been announced but presumably it will be Hydra, judging by the militia in black suits that jump the heroes in the trailer.

Marvel's Avengers can be played in co-op and the story will be expanded in the future, adding in more heroes from the universe to play as.

Though we didn't actually see any gameplay in the trailer to know exactly how you will control the characters.

A huge gaming release to look forward to next year.
