Over the last week, viewers have been left totally gobsmacked over Netflix's latest true crime documentary The Girl in the Picture. You can watch the trailer below:
The doc was released last week and tells the story of Sharon Marshall - also known as Suzanne Sevakis - a woman whose true identity was not revealed until after she died mysteriously in 1990.

Marshall never knew her real name or true identity, with an investigation into her case beginning when she died in a hit-and-run accident in 1990.
The doc comes after a series of books by investigative journalist Matt Birkbeck, who wrote about her story in A Beautiful Child and Finding Sharon. The books detail how Marshall was kidnapped by serial criminal Franklin Delano Floyd, who went on to pose as her stepfather and later marry her.
A Netflix synopsis for the film reads: "It began with a picture - one that, when examined closer, opened up a twisted and heartbreaking 30-year mystery.
"The upcoming true-crime documentary Girl in the Picture dives into the story of Sharon Marshall, as she goes from being an ambitious teenager with a scholarship to Georgia Tech to a woman with a two-year-old son, forced by her abusive husband to work as a stripper.

"Her eventual tragic murder leads to an investigation of her true identity and the federal fugitive who happened to be at the centre of it all."
Ever since the true crime dropped on Netflix, viewers have been deep diving into Marshall's story - and specifically, people have been discussing her biological father.
Both of Marshall's parents - Sandi and Cliff Sevakis - appear in the doc. Cliff Sevakis is believed to now live in Washington, and according to LinkedIn, is a writer and consultant at Cliff Sevakis Creative Services.

Cliff is now married to Jan Sevakis and they have two children.
While he had been unaware of what happened to Marshall, in 2017, he attended a service where her headstone was altered to reveal her true identity.
Although unaware of the devastating events, he has also managed to connect with his granddaughter, Megan Dufresne, explaining in the documentary: “I can’t talk to Suzanne, but I can talk to Megan. And that’ll do.”
Floyd meanwhile was sentenced to death in 2002 for the murder of Cheryl Commesso in 1989.

He is currently on death row awaiting execution.
