A party-loving man has managed to raise £5,000 so he can go clubbing in Ibiza.
Gerald Masteron, 47, has cerebral palsy so needs two carers to accompany him on holiday. Previously, he was given funding to help him cover the cost. However, cuts have meant he's had to find the money himself.
Apparently, his trip would have proved impossible if he had to pay the £14-an-hour many agencies charge per carer - so he launched a successful Facebook appeal to find the right kind of carer.

He told the Daily Record that he regularly stays out until 7am and enjoys daytime parties with his friends - including several DJs.
He 'fell in love' with Ibiza 14 years ago and has been several times since. He's recently been saving away to ensure that he go back this summer to see his hero, veteran dance DJ Carl Cox, perform at the famous Space nightclub before he retires from his 15-year residency.

He said: "I will pay for everything and they will do shifts.
"One of the girls came to see how we would get on and she asked a friend of hers to go too. I've only met them once but we talk on Facebook and get on well.
"I feel everyone should be able to have holidays and shouldn't have to worry about people taking them and how much extra it will cost."

He told the paper that he has been staying at home, avoiding nights out and saving every penny he can to ensure that he can travel to the party island this summer.
I know what you're thinking, what an absolute lad. He's going to have the best time.
