A grandmother and her toyboy husband have revealed a big update on their pregnancy journey together on TikTok.

The pair - who reconnected in 2020 and went on to marry just one year later -have a whopping 37-year age-gap, but that isn’t stopping them from living the life they’ve dreamed of.

Cheryl McGregor, 63 and Quran McCain, 26, met when he was just 15 and she was 52 in 2012.

The mother-of-eight has gained a lot of attention on TikTok for her relationship, gaining 4.7 million followers who watch in awe and confusion over her marriage.

Having made a lot of content where she explained her wish for a child with Quran, the pair are finally getting their wish.

The pair were able to have a baby through surrogacy as Cheryl isn’t able to conceive naturally and went on to celebrate their gender reveal on 8 July.

In the video, which has 4.5 million views and over a thousand comments, the mum-to-be can be seen sporting a pink dress and sash which reads: “Mommy to be.”

The clip shows the couple attempting to pop a black balloon to reveal the gender via coloured confetti, only for blue and pink confetti to fall from it, duping the pair.

That’s when they were told by pals that the real reveal would take place outside.

They quickly joined their loves ones in the garden and were handed hand-held cannons to try again.

After setting them off, they were thrilled to find out that they’re having a baby girl.

In the video, the grandmother-of-17 began jumping with excitement and grabbed her husband as they hugged.

People quickly rushed to the comment section to give the couple their congratulations.

One person said: “You both are a cute couple. Age is just age. We see you both love each other unconditionally.”

Another wrote: “Aw a baby, Cheryl that’s so sweet. I’m so happy for you guys.”

Someone else penned: “Aw, she looks so happy.”

One user wrote: “Congratulations queen, so excited for you guys.”

But it wasn’t all happiness as haters were also in the comments making jokes and being cruel.

One person wrote: “I don’t know who is crazier, them two or the family members/ friends who support this.”

Someone else said: “That poor child isn't going to have a mother.”

It was only two weeks ago that the couple shared their baby news, posting a video which showed an update on their surrogacy journey.

Cheryl said: “We got pictures of our baby and [it] is starting to develop now. It looks like a baby now and it is so adorable.”

The pair first met in 2012 while they were both working at the Dairy Queen, and while close, they didn’t have romantic feelings for one another until 2020 when Quran by chance saw Cheryl working as a cashier at a different store.

Quran previously said of their relationship: “People on social media have a lot of hate for us. They say I'm dating my grandmother.

“I am not. She is younger than my grandmother. We are no different from any other couple - love is love.”
