Man hits out at 'catfish' date who racked up huge tab after ordering 53 fried pickles

If you’ve ever stepped out into the dating scene, you’ll know it has its highs and lows. Like real lows.

And if you don’t know what I’m on about, congrats I guess but for the rest of us, there’s some horror stories to be told.

For this man, his comes in the form of a ‘catfish’ and a sh*t load of pickles.

Content creator Zakir Siddiqui shared his ‘worst date in a very long time’ to TikTok after meeting a woman on Bumble.

So far picking up over eight million views, who says the date with the ‘crazy lady’ was a ‘train wreck’.

Keeping her anonymous, the American nicknamed her ‘Sydney’ and said that it started off bad from the beginning – when she showed up an entire hour early expecting him to be there.

And to top it off, she apparently only ‘looked 10 per cent like her photos’.

Slamming her as a ‘catfish’, Zakir recalled a rather unusual part of the date, involving fried pickles.

Apparently, Sydney ordered 53 of them which he points out ‘is not even a multiple of six’.

Probably a red flag for a lot of us, when their waiter told her they only came in sixes, she snapped back: “Why can’t you just fu**ing put it on a plate? It’s not that hard.

“The customer is always right.”

I mean sure, but no one needs to be rude to staff.

And then to top it off, when he went off to the toilets, he came back to find Sydney had fled – and taken the fried pickles.

All Zakir was left with was a $140 (£110) bill. Well, and a story to tell.

One user joked in the comments: “It’s fine, no big dill,” as others put: “She sure put you in a pickle there.”

And another actually said the mega number of fried pickles is a ‘green flag’.

Others compared it to a woman’s viral date where the bloke ordered 100 tacos and another where the date ate 48 oysters.

“100 tacos, 48 oysters, 53 fried pickles, what is next?”

Another echoed: “Omg I don’t know what’s worse… 53 fried pickles of 100 tacos??? I just can’t.”

But one pointed out: “Thankfully you didn’t have to give her a kiss after those 53 fried pickles.”

While another jokingly theorised: “She was catering an event!”

And others said: “I really need to hear the girl’s POV tbh.”
