In Australia, there are loads of beers to enjoy, whether they be lagers, pale ales, stout and anything else in between.

Every pub or RSL worth their salt will have, at the very least, one of the three classics: Carlton Draught, Tooheys New or XXXX.

Say what you want about these three beers but they're a staple of so many bars and are enjoyed by thousands of people. Well, one of the Holy Trinity has decided to step up its game a bit and offer people not just a hoppy beverage.

Some people reckon the golden lager is a watery, gross concoction, but it's drunk like water there so let's not be too critical.

Venue manager Shannen Crapper has told the Courier Mail: "This is the first time an event of its kind has been held inside the home of Queensland's favourite beer, and what better way to celebrate the historical venue by revelling in some of the best music Australia has to offer with a stubby in hand.

"The brewery belongs to all Queenslanders, so we're pretty excited to share it."

The line up will be announced mid-next month and will feature local and interstate acts curated by Jet Black Cat Music.

The festival will run from 2-9pm and then there will be an after-party in the Alehouse.

"Everything from the bands to the poster design for this event has been exciting to programme," says Jet Black Cat music's Shannon Logan, "I can't wait to share what we've put together with the rest of Brisbane."

The beer cellar doors will be flung open on November 16 and tickets are just shy of $70.
