Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

Whether you’re religious or not, you probably have your own idea of what you like to think happens when we die.

Plenty of us might like to think there is an afterlife – with some hospice nurses backing that – while others are much happier with the idea of it just simply being ‘lights out’.

But one woman claims she ‘died and spent three days in heaven’, and shared a chilling discovery she made.

Julie Poole titles herself as a spiritual mentor, building a career helping others with her teachings.

And she has quite the dark past, having endured physical, mental, sexual and emotional abuse from a young age. While the trauma may have stuck with her, it also led to her spiritual awakening.

Poole speaks very candidly now about her various dark experiences and her spirituality.

She has previously opened up about her near-death experience when she was 21.

Poole 'took an overdose' of medication in an attempt to take her own life, where she said she 'should have died'.

She believes that she was then transported to 'the other side' where she claims she had visions about humankind’s future.

“I suddenly saw my guides and angels around me and then they lifted me up and took me up to the Higher Realms,” Poole described in a YouTube video by Life After Life NDE.

“I just remember saying ‘I’m going home’ and they said ‘No you’re not, it’s not your time'.”

Here, the spirts apparently told her: “We did warn you it would be too hard and too overwhelming, and now here you are at 21 trying to check out.”

The spiritual mentor also said that she woke up in her normal earthly body about three days later, but remembers the final words these beings said to her.

According to Poole, the 'forecasters' told her that 'between 2012 and 2032', there would be a 'breaking open' of the 'Golden Age'.

“What we mean by the Golden Age is that for millennia now there has been an enormous amount of power, abuse, and control… all of that has been held by the few and has controlled the masses." she explained.

“This Golden Age is bringing an equality across the board, so that which is false and fake and untrue and corrupt will fall away.”

Poole really does believe in this and reckons we’re not far from a ‘day of reckoning’.

“It's coming up not so that we can have some sort of Armageddon, but the people in power that are corrupt are getting found out,” she added.

“They’re getting caught and kicked out, and people that have a pure heart, pure intentions are coming in instead.”
