Women react to realisation they’re not alone in confusion over men’s common shower habit

For some bizarre reason, it seems a lot of men take part in the same ritual

It turns out that you're not alone in dealing with your partner's irritating habits, after a certain revelation recently did the rounds online.

Apparently, all it takes to reassure you that you're not alone is a meme - and we might relate memes with funny trends, but they can also make us re-evaluate our lives in the midst of scrolling through social media.

In this case, women have been bonding over the fact that their boyfriends all do the same thing in the bathroom of all places.

The odd ritual has seemingly driven the female population crazy, after being tormented by it for years.

You may be wondering what it is, but wonder no more.

It might be movie night or bed time, but whatever it is, your boyfriend is going in for a 'quick' shower before you resume your evening together.

The process should take about five to 10 minutes, but before you know it, it's been almost half-an-hour and there's no sign of him - but why?

It turns out that your hunk of a man has been in there this whole time, with the shower on, 'dropping the kids off at the pool' as they say.

He's been taking a s**t.

The ritual has been a head-scratcher for women all over the world, as when you think he's finally done, you hear the sound of the toilet flushing, signalling that he's about to get into the shower in what now looks like a steam room.

One woman shared her experience on TikTok, with the on-screen text reading: "POV: Your husband has been showering for the past 20 minutes so you assume he must be done any minute now & coming to lie down so you can start a movie, but then you hear the toilet flush indicating he is only just now getting in the shower."

With over 12.6 million views and 860k likes, it's fair to say that a lot of people have related to the clip.

Many women in the comments have started to realise that they aren't alone in dealing with the shower atrocity.

One user commented: "I trained mine to stop this habit. I couldn't take it anymore."

Another put: "The more I am on this app the more I am learning we are all having the same marriage."

A different user asked: "Why is there more than one person who does this? Who wants to *poo emoji* in a room with moist air?"

A fourth said: "Walked in to scare him & mf is on the toilet… like why is the water running on BOILING HOT."

Someone else pointed out: "But complains about the lights on in the house."

With thousands of likes on all these comments, it's clear that these women are relieved to find out that they're not the only one dealing with it.

You may want to have a chat with your man if you start seeing the water bill sky-rocket, though.
