The best biscuit to dunk on your break has been crowned

The most important question we as Brits ask ourselves every day is ‘What biscuit should we have with our cuppa?’.

As a nation known for their tea-drinking skills, Britain takes the whole romance of the tea break very seriously. What’s the point of having a perfectly made tea if there’s no biscuit to accompany it?

Whilst yesterday was National Biscuit Day (29th May), we feel it’s only fair that we once and for all decide what the nation’s favourite biscuit to dunk in a tea is. Whilst we can all agree that the milk DEFINITELY goes in last, the biscuit of choice for dunking will be long debated until the end of time

If you’re about to sit down to your sixth cup of tea already today and thinking about what biscuity goodness you’re going to have on your biscuit break, look no further. The LADbible audience has done the thinking for you and we can reveal that the favourite McVitie’s biscuit to dunk in your tea is…THE CHOCOLATE DIGESTIVE.

That’s right, who knew that biscuit and chocolate being fused as one could be a winning combination? Over 13,000 people last week on Twitter voted for their favourite accoutrement with a hot beverage and the choccie digestive came out on top with 48.7% of the votes.

Whilst the Chocolate Digestive was first with 48.7% of the vote, Hobnobs came a respectable second place with 31.3% of the vote. The Rich Tea biscuit came in third with 13% of the vote and Jaffa Cakes came in last after receiving 7% of the votes.

It seems that the British public in the last six months have changed their mind with Hobnobs taking the main prize just six months ago. But after YouGov’s 2022 poll, it seems Hobnobs have now been dethroned and we all need to embrace our new biscuit break saviour, the Chocolate Digestive.
