A mum-of-two was set to enjoy a relaxing soak in the bath after a frantic Christmas, but was soon put off after adding a Home Bargains bath bomb to the water.
Claire Gill was given the festive gingerbread bath bomb as a Christmas present from her children but when she added the product she was shocked to see it turned the water a murky brown colour.
Posting a picture of the bath to a Facebook group, she wrote: "Did anyone else buy these at Christmas???? I've never known a more unappealing bath."

The gingerbread man bath fizzer from Home Bargains is currently out of stock online and is part of the retailer's Sleigh Bells festive range.
Claire explained: "I was bought it as a stocking filler from my boys. I decided to use it on 27 December as a wind down from Christmas but it felt more like a wind-up.
"My children couldn't believe it and said that it looked like poo water! I did get in and hoped for the best but it didn't even smell great so I made a quick escape.

"I had to scrub our brand new bath after as it left a dirty brown ring."
After sharing the post on social media, it received more than 9,000 reactions and 2,100 comments, with lots of people responding to say they had experienced the same thing.
One mum said: "Grim. I made my boys get out so I could refill it with nice clean water! Just wrong," while another commented: "Looks like someone accidentally followed through in the bath." Some people just don't have a filter.
Another wrote: "I was so nervous the bath was going to be permanently stained! Also got a candy cane one to use so that might look like a pool of blood."
One person said: "I've got 4 of these, they're going straight in the bin after seeing this now," while another added: "My daughter has got one she hasn't used yet!!! Think it's going to magically disappear after seeing this."

However, many others thought it was funny. One mum wrote: "I bought my sons reindeer bath bombs last year which did exactly the same thing - my youngest thought it was hilarious that it looked like he'd pooed in the bath."
Another person wrote: "I bought this last year for my youngest two it popped up on my memories the other day. They absolutely loved the [poo] bath."
