The creator of UNO previously revealed why most of us have been playing the game wrong all this time.
Throughout the festive period, many households will have had heated discussions over what's thought to be the world's most popular card game.
As you probably know, UNO is played by matching cards by colour or by number. Players will take turns by getting rid of their cards or drawing news ones, with the first to empty their hand winning.
But it's the action cards that spice up the whole game, forcing players to skip, reverse, draw two or draw four.

And let's not forget that if you don't say 'UNO' to signal having one card left in your hand, you can't win the game and have to draw penalty cards.

With all that said, the creator of the UNO dropped a bombshell on social media back in 2019 when they revealed that you can't stack 'draw two' and 'draw four' cards together.
Taking to X, they explained: "If someone puts down a +4 card, you must draw four and your turn is skipped.
"You can’t put down a +2 to make the next person draw six. We know you’ve tried it."
Although this has been pretty well-known by hardcore players for some time, many of them have just decided to ignore those rules entirely to keep the game as fun as it normally is.
Commenting on Instagram, one person wrote: "Thanks for the cards. We’ll take it from here."
"We know, we like our rules better," another penned.
"In our house, you'll be drawing four sir," a third said.
While some joked that 'UNO don’t even know how to play their own game', others said they simply 'don't care' and prefer the way they always have played.

Someone else then pointed out: "The actual rules also only let you put down one card at a time and also draw one card at a time if you don't have the colour or number at play.
"So nobody has ever followed the rules anyways."
Unorules.com also states: "Take note that you can only put down one card at a time; you cannot stack two or more cards together on the same turn.
"For example, you cannot put down a Draw Two on top of another Draw Two, or Wild Draw Four during the same turn, or put down two Wild Draw Four cards together.
"The game continues until a player has one card left. The moment a player has just one card they must yell UNO."
