Woman Plays Prank On Future Homeowners By Making Floor Look Like Crime Scene

This is a perfect example of playing the long-game for a prank

A woman who was about to get new carpets fitted decided to play a prank on future owners of her house by making it look like the scene of a grisly crime. A perfect example of playing the long game that I am very much here for.

Tina, 38, likes a laugh, so when the opportunity came up to play a prank - even years down the line - she took it.

Knowing that brand-new carpets would be getting fitted the following day, Tina, from Ohio, headed out to her local Target and got some red Sharpies and chalk, and set up about mocking up a murder scene onto the concrete floor - including the outline of a person and some bloody hand prints.

The mum-of-two said: "I saw a meme like this years ago, so I decided then when we finally replaced the carpet I'd do this."

Now with the new carpets in place, it's likely that the 'crime scene' will go unseen for years, until some poor unsuspecting person decides they fancy changing the floor coverings.

Tina added: "I thought it was harmless, yet funny. It's really just for fun. No-one was harmed, and I'm not evil."

Tina insists she's 'not evil'.

And Twitter users seem to agree that is funny, because since sharing her post she's been inundated with responses from people praising her for the prank.

Well, here's hoping the future inhabitants of the house also see it that way, eh?

Tina is keeping the tradition of homeowner pranks alive here - just last September, a US fella got sick of having packages stolen from outside his house so decided to give would-be-thieves a scare.

Joshua Garnes placed a cardboard box on his porch as 'bait' and set up a camera to record the comings and goings. Anyone tempted to try and pick the box would be met with a loud bang and have the s*** scared out of them thanks to a trip wire - clever, eh?

Garnes told News4SA: "There's only so much you can do, so why not have a little bit of fun with it?

"It deters them from the property because that's the first thing that they see, a box. So if they grab the box, hear the bang, they'll hopefully leave quick."

He went on to say he's caught around 20 people already. Nicely done.
