Husband Embarassed After Thinking Staff Wrote 'B**ch' On His Wife's Sandwich

A husband was made to look a bit silly after he kicked off thinking that someone at a fast food joint in the USA had written 'b**ch' on his wife's sarnie.

However, it then transpired that the person had actually written down what type of sandwich it was - a BLT with cheese.

Without getting into the ins and outs of whether cheese belongs on a BLT (it doesn't, don't @me) we can all agree that labelling food properly is of the highest importance.

Of course, in the UK it is now illegal not to display any possible allergens and ingredients clearly and obviously on food products.

It's a serious business.

However, he bought a sandwich for his wife from US fast food chain Jimmy Johns, Robert Wilson Barnes was left 'fuming' after he saw what he thought was a derogatory word written across the wrapping of his beloved's butty.

He went on back to the store that he'd bought it from and slammed the offensive foodstuff back down on the counter, demanding to know who had written such a slur on the sandwich and why.

The staff - presumably laughing behind their work-faces - assured him that no offence was meant, the sandwich merely told what it was. A bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, with extra cheese.

Oh dear.

You have to admit, however, it does look like it says exactly what he thought it did. Whoever wrote on the wrapping - which can be difficult, for sure - needs to work on their handwriting, especially if they're gonna be selling any more of that particular meal.

Luckily, Barnes saw the funny side. He shared the whole story on Facebook, writing: "Are you freakin' serious?

"So, after leaving the drive thru today, my wife took her sandwich out of the bag and we see THIS! Seriously? Oh, not today, not today!"

"I went back to the restaurant, went INSIDE (already fuming), asked to speak to the manager, and then threw the sandwich on the counter. I asked him for an explanation.

"He looked confused, so I pointed at the writing on the sandwich and demanded that he tells me why someone felt the need to write it on my wife's sandwich.

"He answered, 'Because you ordered a BLT with cheese?'.

"To which I replied, '...Oh'."

Well, at least he can poke fun at himself. Note to self though, never get on the wrong side of this guy, or his wife for that matter.
