Video Shows Man Throwing Pizza Into Another Apartment's Microwave

Video Shows Man Throwing Pizza Into Another Apartment's Microwave

It is World Pizza Day, after all

As today is World Pizza Day, video footage has resurfaced that shows a professional frisbee thrower successfully managing to chuck a pizza across a 20m (65 feet) gap and land it inside the microwave of a neighbouring apartment.

Imagine if all deliveries could be that easy.

Admittedly, you wouldn't want to receive a piping hot curry in this fashion, but if you had a neighbour who happened to be a professional frisbee thrower, you could get him to lend you a microwavable pizza every now and again in this fashion.

To be fair, there is a little bit of subterfuge going on here, as well.

The man in the video is called Tetsuya Kikuchi, and - apparently - he's managed to make a living out of throwing around a small plastic disk.

It's decent work, if you can get it, because it looks like he's even managed to blag his way onto the telly with his certain set of skills.

However, if you were to actually seek out the full nine-minute-long video of him learning this skill, and failing many times, you'd see that it doesn't look that easy for anyone - let alone a man who is quite literally paid to frisbee - to throw a pizza around 20 metres across a gap and land it in a small space.

Look at the concentration etched on his face.

He has to make quite a few practise attempts, each time trying to gauge the distance and trajectory, as well as honing in his own technique.

Just because you can throw a frisbee really well, doesn't necessarily mean those skills translate across various different mediums.

Well, it's not like you can eat a frisbee, so why would you think you could successfully frisbee a pizza?

When he eventually gets it into the microwave, everyone seems pretty happy. There is much hugging and cheering at his success.

The video was originally shared many years ago on a YouTube channel called 'Tokyo Stylishsports', which is an incredible name for a band, if you're looking for one.

Success!

Anyway, that's about all you need to know about this, other than the fact that it must be assumed that the footage is doing the rounds once again because it's World Pizza Day today.

Whilst it can become tiresome constantly hearing about the various celebratory days for seemingly needless reasons - believe me - we can all get behind a celebration of the humble pizza.

So, why not find a height, a balcony perhaps, outside your mate's house this evening and surprise them on this day of days by hurling a double pepperoni into their kitchen.

Bonus points if you can land it in a cooking appliance.
