You may think that the state of social media is a mess, a lost cause, or as the kids say - 'cooked'.
And you might be right in thinking that, especially following the fall out of new Netflix documentary, Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere.
A number of Manosphere content creators were subjects in the doc, including HSTikkyTokky, in a movement which was first popularised by the likes of Andrew Tate in the years prior.
But there's a sub-section of this online space where male creators practice self-grooming techniques which can come across as extreme, and it's known as looksmaxxing.

While many may promote the idea of 'improving' your own attractiveness through these over-the-top methods, one man is known above all for trying anything to be the ultimate 'looksmaxxer' - Clavicular.

Clavicular, real name Braden Peters, is just 20-years-old, but he's known for his involvement with some of the most controversial male figures on the internet.
He's been seen singing Kanye West's 'Heil Hitler' song, while also regularly using the N-word despite being white.
But one thing he's known for above all is taking part in the 'bone-smashing' trend, which has gained popularity as part of the 'looksmaxxing' movement.
The trend involves literally hitting yourself in the face with a hammer, in an attempt to 'improve' your attractiveness.
Many may think working on your diet or exercising regularly will do it, but not Clavicular - in fact, he showed off a snap of how he looked before 'bone smashing'.
From the angle shown, the streamer's jaw may appear sharper and more defined in more recent snaps, though it isn't
Not only does he promote bone smashing, but Clavicular is also in favour of the use of anabolic steroids, whiel also selling access to a looksmaxxing course known as the 'Clavicular System'.
Clavicular is all in on making himself as good looking as possible, even managing to land a gig during New York fashion week for his efforts.

He claims that hitting himself with a hammer is a way of 'ascending', which gives him that chiselled look that he was yearning for.
Obviously, please don't try to hammer your face in an attempt to improve your looks, there is no medical evidence suggesting that this actually works.
He admitted in a past stream: "My mom used to take these [hammers] away because I was always bone-smashing with a hammer. She had to hide them."
Clavicular once told a puzzled police officer: "Do you guys know about bone-smashing? It's according to Wolff's Law, so when you break down a bone it grows back stronger. So I'm trying to grow my cheekbones."

A more defined jaw line is a feature which incels associate with 'Chads', the most attractive men (to them), therefore meaning that you will be more likely to attract other women.
To this day, Clavicular taps a hammer on his jaw, though this can cause damage to the surrounding area.
Speaking to Forbes in 2023, Dr Bruce Y. Lee explained: "There’s a big difference between the mechanical force on your bones that comes from walking or lifting weights in an appropriate manner versus the force from a blow from a blunt object."
There's also no guarantee that your bones heal in the way which you may expect, and do you really want to run the risk of a broken jaw?
